Across Europe, a network of senior women leaders set out to transform how organizations support women’s advancement into executive and board roles. What began as a professional association evolved into a powerful platform for leadership development, mentorship, and cross-sector collaboration—uniting nearly a thousand women across industries and countries.
Northly’s partner contributed to this transformation through a decade of board-level leadership—first as Regional Board Member and later as International Co-President of the European Women in Management Development network. We helped redesign governance, strengthen membership engagement, and attract new corporate partners committed to gender equity. A key innovation, the “Power Teams” model, brought together senior women in small advisory cohorts to support one another’s leadership journeys and navigate barriers to advancement.
Over seven years, the network increased membership by 15%, expanded partnerships with leading corporations, and became a recognized voice for women’s leadership across Europe. Beyond organizational growth, the initiative created pathways for connection and empowerment—demonstrating how shared purpose and peer leadership can drive systemic change.
