When an international coalition set out to expand a new global standard for the rights of women in childbirth, the question wasn’t whether the model worked—it was how to scale it with integrity. The coalition needed to mobilize funders, governments, and advocates around a unified strategy adaptable across diverse national contexts.
Northly designed a scalability assessment grounded in policy and funding landscape analysis, stakeholder interviews, and partner-capacity mapping. Through this process, we clarified the drivers of success, built an evidence-based expansion plan, facilitated board alignment, and developed an advocacy roadmap and partner toolkit for replication.
Within two years, the program grew from 11 to 75 countries—strengthening visibility, funding, and influence. The coalition emerged as a global leader on maternal-health equity, showing that when strategy is anchored in evidence and partnership, scale can transform systems worldwide.
